Since the 1980s, the average weight of Lamborghini’s vehicles has increased by around 500kg, due to the requirements set by safety, comfort and emissions reduction. This is a trend they are urgently addressing. Because they cannot sacrifice either safety or comfort, they will start using new materials. The magic words are carbon fibre.
